TEL AVIV, Jun 16 (Alliance News): Amid intensifying Iranian attacks, the United States has allowed its diplomatic staff stationed in Israel to leave the country or relocate to secure locations until further notice, signaling heightened concerns over regional security.
According to official sources, American personnel at the U.S. embassies in Tel Aviv and occupied Jerusalem have been directed to either evacuate or move to protected facilities. Despite the partial withdrawal, both diplomatic missions will remain operational.
In a parallel advisory, the U.S. Embassy has also urged American citizens residing in Israel to arrange their own departure from the country at the earliest opportunity due to rising security risks. No official evacuation mission has been announced, but the embassy emphasized that conditions could worsen rapidly.
The United Kingdom has followed suit, advising all British nationals currently in Israel to leave the country immediately. UK authorities cited the increasing threat of missile and drone strikes amid the ongoing confrontation between Iran and Israel.
The joint advisory from two major Western powers comes as fears grow of a wider regional war, with escalating military actions threatening to destabilize the Middle East further.
