BEIJING, July 3 (Alliance News): China will mark the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People’s War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World War against Fascism with a grand cultural gala in Beijing on September 3, authorities announced during a press conference held by the Information Office of the State Council.
Organized jointly by the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, China Media Group, the Political Work Department of the Central Military Commission, and the city government of Beijing, the event aims to commemorate the historic victory with patriotic fervor and artistic expression.
As part of the nationwide observance, China Media Group will also broadcast a series of documentaries and films focused on the war and its significance.
Additionally, from August to October, a wide array of cultural activities, including stage performances and fine arts exhibitions, will be held across the country to honour the sacrifices and resilience of the Chinese people during the struggle against fascism.
Officials emphasized that the commemoration is intended to strengthen national unity, highlight China’s historical role in World War II, and reaffirm its commitment to peace and development.
