Putin Praises China’s 80th Anniversary Celebrations in Talks with Kim Jong Un

BEIJING, Sep 3 (Alliance News): Russian President Vladimir Putin lauded the commemorative events marking the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People’s War of Resistance, describing them as “brilliantly organized and held at the highest level,” during his talks with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un in Beijing on Tuesday.

Putin noted that earlier in the day, both he and Kim attended the anniversary celebrations hosted by China, which featured a grand military parade on Tiananmen Square.

“All of these events were held brilliantly, simply very well, at a high level,” the Russian president remarked, emphasizing the scale and precision of the commemorations.

The large-scale events underscored China’s recognition of its wartime sacrifices and its enduring partnerships with allies, including Russia and North Korea. Putin’s remarks highlighted Moscow’s alignment with Beijing in honoring shared history and strengthening trilateral ties with Pyongyang against the backdrop of evolving regional and global dynamics.
