TEHRAN, April 06 (Alliance News): Pakistan, Egypt, and Turkey have stepped in as mediators, presenting a ceasefire draft to the United States and Iran to halt ongoing hostilities.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baqai rejected the proposal, calling it a temporary pause that allows the opposition to regain strength.
He emphasized that Iran seeks a complete end to the war, with guarantees enforced through strength rather than international organizations.
A White House official, speaking anonymously to the BBC, said the ceasefire plan is one of several options under consideration, but US President Donald Trump has not approved it.
“Operation Epic Fury is underway,” the official added, noting that Trump is expected to address the situation in a press conference later today.
