WASHINGTON, Aug. 7 (Alliance News): US President Donald Trump has expressed confidence that the ongoing conflict with Iran will end soon, saying Tehran is not in a position to sustain the war for much longer.
Speaking to reporters in the Oval Office, President Trump said he did not believe Iran could continue bearing the burden of the conflict for an extended period.
The US president also acknowledged that the American military was facing shortages of certain types of weapons. However, he stressed that the country’s advanced weapons stockpiles remained extensive, adding that only some categories of munitions were currently in limited supply.
The remarks came as the United States continues to expand its defence production capacity. Washington is establishing new manufacturing facilities to increase the production of military equipment, including Patriot air defence missiles and Tomahawk cruise missile
