Uzbekistan Delegation Visits Alabuga SEZ to Discuss Migrant Welfare and Cooperation

TASHKENT, July 17 (Alliance News): A delegation from Uzbekistan visited the Alabuga Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in the Republic of Tatarstan to discuss legal employment, workers’ rights, and welfare measures for Uzbek migrant workers, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.

During the visit, both sides exchanged views on facilitating the legal employment of Uzbek citizens and ensuring safe, comfortable living standards for them.

The leadership of the SEZ commended the role of Uzbek specialists in driving industrial development and expressed interest in deepening cooperation.

The delegation held preventive sessions with Uzbek nationals living and working in Alabuga to discuss the importance of adhering to migration laws, completing required documentation, and avoiding legal infractions.

Uzbek officials also addressed the concerns and suggestions of migrant workers, while additional consultations with company representatives focused on resolving workplace and social challenges.

In a unique step, the delegation included a representative from the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan who conducted a session on moral and spiritual values. The session emphasized interethnic harmony, ethical conduct, and the positive integration of Uzbek migrants into the local community.
