Trump Hails Iran-Israel Ceasefire, Claims Nuclear Facilities “Destroyed” in NATO Summit Remarks

New York, Jun 25 (Alliance News): US President Donald Trump, speaking at the NATO Summit in The Hague, declared that the ceasefire between Iran and Israel is holding well and credited his personal diplomacy for halting further escalation.

He stated that Israeli warplanes returned “at my request,” marking what he called a “historic victory” in the Middle East.

Trump claimed that both Iran and Israel had realized “enough is enough” and agreed to give peace a chance. “We have achieved a great victory in Iran,” he said, emphasizing that the war’s de-escalation serves both countries.

Addressing the recent US strikes on Iran’s nuclear infrastructure, Trump asserted that American forces destroyed deeply buried facilities, including the Fordow nuclear site, which he said was “completely destroyed.”

According to him, Iran’s uranium enrichment capability has been severely damaged, and “it will now be very difficult for Iran to make a nuclear weapon.” He warned that if Iran attempts to rebuild, “we will attack again.”

Despite his stern stance, Trump described Iran as “a great country” and praised the Iranian people. He stated that while the ceasefire was a victory for Israel, it was also “a victory for Iran,” as “their country has been saved.”

On Gaza, the US President said “great progress” is being made and hinted that the conflict could soon be resolved. He cited unnamed diplomats, including a figure referred to as “Vankov,” suggesting a solution was near.

Trump also spoke of NATO’s future, declaring that reforms were underway and essential for strengthening the alliance.

He acknowledged that Russian President Vladimir Putin had offered to assist on the Iran issue, without giving details.

While admitting some minor ceasefire violations, Trump maintained that “overall, both parties have stepped back,” which he welcomed.

“By attacking, we have set Iran’s nuclear program back decades,” he claimed, reiterating that Iran had prior knowledge of the US strikes.

He emphasized that military force was used with strategic intent to deter nuclear escalation and preserve peace.
