TASHKENT, Sept 3 (Alliance News): President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met Russian President Vladimir Putin in Beijing on Tuesday, where both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance between their countries.
At the outset of the talks, President Putin warmly congratulated the people of Uzbekistan on their Independence Day, wishing them prosperity, sustainable growth, and well-being.
The meeting focused on expanding trade, economic, and investment cooperation, with both sides emphasizing the importance of coordinated measures to maintain the positive momentum in bilateral ties.
Leaders highlighted the need to accelerate the preparation and execution of joint projects in key sectors of the economy and to foster cooperative links between regions, including through the establishment of joint industrial parks.
The discussions also touched on the progress of humanitarian collaboration in areas such as culture, art, science, and education. Both presidents expressed satisfaction at the growing exchanges in these fields, which they said were strengthening the people-to-people bonds between the two nations.
In addition, Mirziyoyev and Putin exchanged views on pressing international and regional issues, reaffirming their shared interest in stability and cooperation across Eurasia.
