BEIJING, Aug 26, Alliance News: Chinese President Xi Jinping on Tuesday described China-Russia relations as the most stable, mature, and strategically significant major-country ties in the current volatile global environment.
During a meeting in Beijing with Vyacheslav Volodin, chairman of Russia’s lower house of parliament, the State Duma, Xi underlined that advancing high-level China-Russia cooperation serves the fundamental interests of both nations and contributes to global peace and stability.
He recalled his state visit to Russia in May, where he attended commemorations marking the 80th anniversary of the Soviet Union’s victory in the Great Patriotic War, noting the importance of shared history in strengthening bilateral ties.
