Erdogan warns against Renewed Israeli Escalation in Middle East

ANKARA, July 5 (Alliance News): Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has warned against allowing Israel to plunge the Middle East into another cycle of war, saying the region cannot afford renewed conflict and bloodshed.

According to the Turkish Presidency, Erdogan reaffirmed Türkiye’s commitment to supporting ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at reducing regional tensions and promoting lasting peace.

The Turkish president said the world had breathed a sigh of relief following the recent Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding between Iran and the United States, describing it as a positive development that has revived hopes for de-escalation in the region.

Erdogan stressed that Türkiye is closely monitoring what it described as Israel’s provocative actions and urged the international community to prevent any further escalation.

“We must not allow the Israeli government to once again drag the entire region into war, destruction, and bloodshed,” Erdogan said, adding that continued diplomatic engagement remains essential to preserving regional stability.

His remarks come amid ongoing efforts by regional and international stakeholders to ease tensions in the Middle East and encourage dialogue between the parties involved.
