TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, Jan 31 (Alliance News): Pakistan’s leading conglomerate, Habib Rafiq Engineering (Pvt.) Ltd (HRL), has signed a memorandum of cooperation with Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade to boost collaboration in infrastructure development, smart city projects, and industrial initiatives.
The MoU was formalized at the Ministry in Tashkent in the presence of Uzbekistan’s Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade, Laziz Sh. Kudratov, Deputy Minister Shokhrukh Kh. Gulamov, HRL Chief Operating Officer Muhammad Aslam Malik, and senior officials from both sides.
Under the agreement, HRL and the Uzbek Ministry aim to strengthen bilateral ties by promoting sustainable growth, technology transfer, and long-term economic partnership.
The collaboration will focus on large-scale infrastructure projects, smart city initiatives, and industrial development aligned with Uzbekistan’s long-term modernization goals.
During the visit, the HRL delegation, including CEO Muhammad Aslam Malik, Adviser Luis Fernandez Reyes Gonzalez, and Adviser to the Chairman Khalid Taimur Akram, discussed the company’s extensive experience in complex infrastructure, engineering, and real estate development projects in Pakistan and abroad. HRL highlighted its ability to support Uzbekistan’s urban development and modernization ambitions with high-quality expertise and technological solutions.
The signing of this MoU represents a strategic step in fostering cooperation between Pakistan and Uzbekistan, facilitating knowledge exchange, innovation, and mutual investment in critical sectors.
Both parties emphasized the potential for long-term partnerships that contribute to sustainable economic growth and regional development.
