TASHKENT, July 15 (Alliance News): A high-level roundtable discussion was held in Ankara, jointly organized by the Embassy of Uzbekistan and the Turkey-Uzbekistan Committee of the Turkish Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEIK), to strengthen bilateral economic, trade, and investment ties.
The event brought together officials from Uzbekistan’s diplomatic mission and a DEIK delegation led by Committee Chairman Özgür Önar Özgüven. Discussions centered on enhancing cooperation in key sectors including energy, agriculture, construction, and information technology.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to holding practical meetings in Government-to-Business (G2B) and Business-to-Business (B2B) formats, while also expressing enthusiasm for co-organizing economic forums and investment expos.

The program will spotlight economic opportunities in six Uzbek regions—Bukhara, Khorezm, Namangan, Jizzakh, Samarkand—and the capital city Tashkent. Turkish business leaders praised the initiative and confirmed plans to send company delegations to Uzbekistan for follow-up visits and potential project implementation.
Special emphasis was placed on fostering public-private partnerships and advancing cooperation in the mining sector.
Turkish representatives expressed strong interest in becoming long-term strategic partners in Uzbekistan’s regional development and pledged support for attracting investment to key local initiatives.
