ASTANA, Aug 12 (Alliance News): Kazakhstan and Serbia have vowed to boost political, economic, and cultural cooperation during the third round of political consultations held at Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, officials said Tuesday.
The meeting brought together Deputy Foreign Minister Arman Issetov and Serbia’s State Secretary for Foreign Affairs Damjan Jović. The two sides discussed political relations, trade, cultural exchanges, and upcoming high-level visits.
Issetov said Serbia is an important political and economic partner for Kazakhstan in Europe, expressing Astana’s readiness to expand cooperation at both bilateral and multilateral levels.
Jović described Kazakhstan as Serbia’s key partner in Central Asia and welcomed the positive outcomes of the recent Intergovernmental Commission meeting in Almaty.
Both sides exchanged views on global and regional issues and reaffirmed their commitment to work closely within international organizations.
They agreed to push ahead with meetings of the Intergovernmental Commission and Business Council, and to strengthen the legal framework supporting bilateral ties.
Earlier, Kazakhstan donated a copy of Journey to Childhood by writer Berdibek Sokpakbayev to the Foundation of the Crown Princess of Serbia.
