US Intelligence Report Says Regime Change in Iran Unlikely Despite Military Attacks

WASHINGTON, March 8 (Alliance News): A report prepared by 18 United States intelligence agencies has concluded that removing the government in Iran would be extremely difficult even through large-scale military attacks.

According to the assessment, there is little possibility that the Iranian opposition could take control of the country, while attacks are also unlikely to succeed in eliminating the country’s military leadership.

The report, cited by the Washington Post, was completed about a week before the recent attacks on Iran.

The intelligence assessment suggests that despite military pressure, the existing political structure in Iran is expected to remain intact.

Analysts believe that the country’s leadership and security institutions are deeply entrenched and capable of maintaining control.

A senior researcher at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy said that surrendering to pressure from Donald Trump would contradict the ideological foundations of Iran’s leadership.

Meanwhile, protests have been held in the London against US and Israeli military actions in Iran.

According to reports, thousands of demonstrators gathered in central London and marched towards the Embassy of the United States in London to protest the attacks.

The protesters demanded an immediate end to military operations by the United States and Israel against Iran, expressing concerns that the escalating conflict could destabilise the entire Middle East region.
