Trump Says US Nearly Ended Intelligence Sharing Suspension with Ukraine

WASHINGTON, March 10 (Alliance News): United States President Donald Trump has announced that the US has “just about” ended its suspension of intelligence sharing with Ukraine, signaling a possible shift in Washington’s stance on the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict.

Trump’s comments follow remarks by CIA Director John Ratcliffe, who confirmed last week that the US had halted intelligence sharing with Ukraine, reportedly to pressure President Volodymyr Zelensky into peace negotiations with Russia.

The intelligence suspension, coupled with the pause in military aid, raised concerns about Ukraine’s defensive capabilities against Russian missile attacks.

Meanwhile, US and Ukrainian officials are set to meet in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday, where discussions will include Ukraine’s willingness to offer concessions to end the war. Also at stake is a minerals deal between Washington and Kyiv, which was initially expected to be signed before Zelensky’s White House visit ended in tensions.

Trump expressed optimism about the negotiations, stating, “We’re going to make a lot of progress this week.” He added that he believes Ukraine will sign the minerals deal, though he emphasized that Kyiv must demonstrate a greater commitment to peace.

Regarding Russia, Trump mentioned that his administration is considering various tariff options but is not concerned about joint military exercises between Russia, China, and Iran.
