BAKU, July 15 (Alliance News): Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov held a meeting with the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Azerbaijan, Lu Mei, to review and strengthen bilateral economic cooperation under the framework of the countries’ recently elevated strategic partnership.
Taking to social media platform X, Minister Jabbarov expressed satisfaction with the progress in Azerbaijan-China relations, stating, “We expressed satisfaction with the elevation of bilateral relations to the level of a strategic partnership.”
During the meeting, both sides discussed key areas of mutual interest, including trade, industry, energy, investment, transport, and the digital economy. They reaffirmed their commitment to advancing joint initiatives that support sustainable economic development.
The discussions also underscored the significance of the Joint Statement on the Establishment of Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, signed during President Ilham Aliyev’s recent visit to China. Both sides agreed that the agreement serves as a critical foundation for expanding and deepening economic and trade relations between the two nations.
