BUCHAREST, May 27 (Alliance News): Romania will participate with a 12-team squad at the 2025 European Rowing Championships, scheduled to take place in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, from May 29 to June 1, according to the Romanian Rowing Federation.
Ciprian Tudosa, a member of the men’s four-oared crew, said the team is entering the competition with high motivation following recent changes. “We are well-prepared and confident. The adjustments made recently have given us the extra drive we needed,” he said.
In a major shift, Olympic and world champions Simona Radiș and Ancuța Bodnar—known for their dominance in the women’s double sculls—will not row together in this event. Nevertheless, both remain determined to deliver strong individual performances.
Romania had an impressive performance at the 2024 European Championships held in Szeged, Hungary, where they won a total of eight medals—four gold, two silver, and two bronze—finishing second overall behind the United Kingdom.
